Dear Friends of Mohegan Lake Veterinary Hospital,
We are watching the development of COVID-19 closely and what it means for our pets and families. In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we will be applying the practice of "social distancing". MLVH will be instituting the following changes:
*To minimize exposure in our waiting room, we will be spacing out appointments and extending the amount of time we allot for patient exams.
*At the time of your appointment, you have the option for concierge service so that you do not need to enter the practice.
- When you arrive, to call the hospital and to let us know you are here.
- And a member of our staff member will come to your car, take a detailed history, and bring your pet into the hospital where he/she will be seen by the doctor. The doctor and staff will speak with you over the phone, and we will bring your pet back to you at the end of the appointment
- Upon completion of the exam we will discharge your pet and you can pay via credit card over the phone.
*The other option is to remain in the reception area where our staff will take a history and then lead your pet to the exam room. We will and bring him/her out for discharge and go take home instructions.
Medications and Food:
Picking up medications or food? Please call ahead to make sure we have your prescription in stock. We ask you pay ahead of time. When are ready for pick up, a staff member will gladly bring it to your car.
If You are Feeling Sick:
Please let our staff know of any potential exposure to COVID-19 or if you are feeling sick, coughing, fever, etc... before coming to our office so we can work with you to plan accordingly.
We will do our best to keep everyone updated as the situation continues to change. In the event we have to close, we will notify all affected appointments. We will update our outgoing voicemail message, website, Facebook and Instagram with changes.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience. We understand these are stressful/difficult times for all. We are striving to provide the same level of service while protecting our clients, staff members, and their families. We will utilize every effort to stay open to safely provide care to your pet.
